چکیده

Amylases are important industrial enzymes that have wide applications ranging from conversion of starch to sugar syrups, the production cyclodextrins for pharmaceutical industry. This investigation aimed at amylases using Aspergillus and Fusarium species isolated waste-corncobs in Keffi Nigeria. ASPERGILLUS SPECIES ISOLATED FROM PISTACHIO AND DETERMINATION OF THEIR AFLATOXIN PRODUCTION

Aflatoxins are the most serious problem in production and export of pistachio of Iran. They are amongst the most toxic mycotoxins and are produced predominantly by Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus. Pistachio is susceptible to invasion by aflatoxigenic Aspergillus species and subsequent production of aflatoxins, during preharvesting, processing, transportation or storage. Various methods ha...

RNA silencing of mycotoxin production in Aspergillus and Fusarium species.

Mycotoxins are natural fungal products that are defined by their harmful effects on humans and animals. Aflatoxin contamination of maize by Aspergillus species and trichothecene contamination of small grains by Fusarium species are two of the most severe mycotoxin problems in the United States. We are investigating RNA silencing in an effort to identify novel ways to control mycotoxin contamina...

Keratin Production by Decomposing Feather Waste Using Some Local Bacillus spp. Isolated from Poultry Soil

Background; Feather waste is generated in large amounts as a by-product of commercial poultry processing. The main component of feather is keratin. The main purpose of this study was to identify Bacillus spp. (the keratinolytic bacteria) that are able to degrade the feather for producing keratin. Methods; Bacillus spp. Were isolated from the waste of poultries located in Miyaneh city. The bact...
